Hunting Seasons

Hunting is a sport that can be fun as long as rules and laws are adhered to. In the United States there are laws that are followed through each state and managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Some people don't like the sport of hunting, for it usually involves the ending of wild creatures' lives. However, this sport can actually help the species of wild animals. With the elimination of some animals, this helps resource managers to maintain the amount of some species, which otherwise become harmful to other species and even humans. That is why hunting seasons are created. To regulate this.

For those that are not aware of particular times or seasons that you can hunt wildlife, there are websites that provide this information. Each state develops their own rules and regulations. If you would place hunting seasons and a particular state in your search window, links to sites will provide this for you. There is also a website called Hunting Trips-R-Us, which has placed all hunting seasons for each state. Also, there are state wildlife agencies where licenses are obtained, which provide the seasons information for you. These hunting seasons are determined for each individual species such as birds, deer, squirrel, rabbit, quail, doves, duck, turkey and etc. Each state has different types of species.

Some species of wild creatures are protected with laws more because of the possibilities of becoming extinct. Our Federal law formed an agreement with Canada, Mexico and other countries, which regulates some bird species that migrate to different countries. This process is the responsibility of the Fish and Wildlife Service to regulate. Conservation of wild life started back in the late 19th century and has continued until this present time. Hunting is a great activity that helps humans to respect and understand the land in which we live.
