Popular American Hunting Parks

Many people enjoy hunting. Not only do you have the beautiful scenery, you have the thrill and anticipation of finding your prey. There are many different hunting areas in this great nation of ours, and here are just a few of them.

In West Virginia, visit Bear Rock Lakes, which is roughly thirteen miles East of Wheeling. This is one of the many wonderful places West Virgina has to offer. Hunters can search for deer, small game, and turkey. Fish at any one of the four lakes, even Wood Pond, which is suitable for the disabled. Several areas around Bear Rock Lakes are flat, so kids, seniors, and the disabled can have fun fishing.

You can also hunt in Alaska. There are over 365 million acres to hunt on. The animals don't have to go in too far, so they are fairly easy to find. Many people hunt for bear in this area. If you plan to do this, the section you visit will likely be determined by the type of bear you want to find. Most people choose to hunt brown grizzly bear, for which the best place is Ketchitan. There are also black and polar bears. There are brown bears on Kodiak Island, but they are considered to be different than the grizzly. Both Kodiak and Polar bears can be very dangerous. Keep in mind that only one grizzly every four years is allowed to be shot.

There are also many great hunting locations in Minnesota. They have 56 state parks with 3 million acres of excellent hunting ground, as well as refuges, private areas, and more. Hunt for moose, deer, bear, or grouse in one of this spectacular areas. The best way to decide what you want to choose what you want to hunt, then the state, and finally decide which area you are most interested in.
