Tips For Hunting Deer

Hunting deer takes a tremendous amount of patience and dedication in order to be successful. It is best, regardless of experience, to take in new tips on the best ways to make successful kills.

One of the first tips is locate and track their movements. This is done best with a map or a notebook tracking beds, antler shedding, rub lines and scrapes. The only way this method of tracking will be successful is to ensure good note taking. Another way to find these animals to look in the high weeds and brush as they provide good cover and the deer feel secure. On this same note, if this appears to be an area that might be a good stand site, then be sure to clip away any loose branches and remove twigs and leaves as much as possible. This way you will not make any noise when approaching the site.

If at all possible, take a listen to the forecast as it is well known that many deer move in packs approximately 18 hours in front of a storm. If this trail can be intercepted, then the deer will come to the hunter. One of the main tips that can be taken with one to the field is remain quiet. The quiet hunts tend to much more successful as deer have excellent hearing and it’s possible to spook the target. Not only would the target be chased off and the prize lost, but a hunter on stand may get an easy shot at someone's buck.
There is no better tip than to think safety first because once the trigger is pulled, the bullet cannot be retrieved
